Annika currently devotes her time to her business Annikas Naturliga Ting (Annika’s Natural Things), blogging on facebook under the same name and on instagram @annikasnaturligating, where she has 41,000 followers.
“The name came out of my love of all those natural little things that surround us in everyday life. It’s such a thrill to be able to tend what grows in the garden in chime with the changing seasons”, says Annika.

Annika grows all kinds of edible crops, and the family is self-subsistent from April to December. In winter she grows sprouts, shoots, and microgreens.
– I’m currently out giving talks and hosting workshops on this. They’ve been really well-attended, but I’m actually quite accomplished these days at growing all kinds of microgreens and using them in everyday dishes. Annika is confident that sprouts, shoots and microgreens are a big part of our culinary future.
Aside from gardening, Annika goes walking in the amazing forests on the Hallandsåsen ridge almost daily, where she takes a “forest dip” and breathes in the pure air.
– Although I spend so much time in the same garden and the same forest day in, day out, I’m always spotting something new,” says Annika with a smile.
